Boks overpower Os Lobos in 13-try feast It was almost like a game for the virgins..... first-ever Muslim captain, first-ever female to charge of a Springboks game, but, most importantly, it was the first time that Portugal and South Africa ever faced off in a test match.  Portugal went into this match. Not believing they could beat us but wanting to show what they can do on a big stage. And boy oh boy did they deliver! South Africa, on the other hand, wanted to experiment with quite a few young guys. Although others might think it was a great spectacle, which it was, I don't think we showed enough respect to our opponents by playing at our utmost best.   Portugal played very well and should have scored more tries. They never conceded one card, whereas South Africa conceded two yellow cards one of which was later upgraded to a red after being reviewed in the bunker.  Some match stats; Lineouts: SA 10/10 vs Portugal 11/12 Scrums: SA 3/4 vs Portugal 8/11  Handling errors: SA 8 vs Po
Boks drown in Irish blood bath in Durban It was a literal blood bath at Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban on Saturday night as a last-second drop goal by Irish replacement flyhalf, Ciaran Frawley, stunned the Boks as Ireland came out in one piece by winning 24 - 25.  After only 2 minutes of play, Willie le Roux was taken off for an HIA after a nasty collision with James Lowe's knee. He never returned. At the same time, Franco Mostert had to be patched up.  Early mistakes by the Boks cost them 3 points as Jack Crowley converted the penalty given to Ireland for an offside call against the hosts. Not long after, it was the turn of Eben Etzabeth who had to be patched up.  Throughout the game, South Africa couldn't score one try and had to rely on the boot of Handré Pollard to put them on the scoreboard. I have to say, Ireland played extremely well to restrict the hosts by not allowing them to score a single try.  It was almost as if South Africa expected to win this game quite co
It took them 7 years, but Amabokoboko finally get one over the Irish  It is the start of the international season. It is Number one up against number two in the world. It is the Irish up against " Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie ". This series has been much spoken about ever since the Boks lost to the very same opposition at last year's World Cup.  So much has changed since that game at RWC 2023. Jaques Nienaber has moved to Ireland, Duane Vermeulen retired and has occupied a similar role to the one that Rassie has held since 2018. The only key difference here, is, Vermeulen will be working with two other coaches as they form the "mobile coaching team" or something like that.... This basically means that they will be doing Rassie's job as supposed Director of Rugby. This job includes having a firm grip over the transformation or progression of rugby at all levels. This allows Rassie to focus solely on his duties as head coach.  Anyway, let's get into the
